Derby County’s former Cheltenham Town & Gloucester City winger to attend Summer Soccer School in Cinderford

Former Cheltenham Town & Gloucester City man Luke Thomas has been announced as a special guest for the Progressive Sports North Glos Soccer School next month. 

Thomas, who is currently on loan at Coventry City from Derby County, will be joining up Jamie Knight and the team at the Soccer School – taking place at St Whites Primary School in Cinderford, on Wednesday 29th May.

In a post shared on Progressive Sports North Glos’ Facebook page they encourage child of any capability or background and between the ages of 4-14 to join the school. In the post they outline the benefits below:

“The BENEFITS your child will get to experience if they attend our Soccer School on the day Luke attends, will be –

– All Children will have Photo opportunities with Luke.

– Luke will be signing Autograph’s for the Children.

– Children’s Q+A with Luke, can ask him questions.

– Luke will be watching the Children play football, and may even showcase his own skills.

Our Soccer School is open to any child between the ages of 4-14

Speaking to Severn Sport about the Soccer School, coach Jamie Knight expressed his delight at having the young winger attending the event.

“It is excellent for the children of the local Gloucestershire community to be able to experience having a professional footballer like Luke attending our Soccer Camp. 

Here at Progressive Sports North Glos, we are extremely excited to have Luke attending our Children’s Soccer School, on Wednesday 29th May. Luke is an exceptional footballer, and has shown that for Coventry City in League One this season.

Luke is also an exceptional role model, and is very much looking forward to meeting all of the children attending the Soccer School.” Knight added.
