Cinderford Town full back amongst Severn Sport player sponsorships for 2020/21 season

Cinderford Town full back Sam Turl has been confirmed as one of the players Severn Sport will be sponsoring for the 2020/21 season.

In what has become a tradition here at Severn Sport, every season we give back to local clubs and players by committing to player sponsorship for the upcoming season.

Previous players to have been sponsored by Severn Sport includes former Gloucester City trio Chris Holland, Jasbir Singh and Keiran Thomas, as well as Tuffley Rovers’ Sam Hill and last season saw us back Fairford Town coaching duo Lee Randall and Jamie Reid.

Former Gloucester City and Slimbridge man Turl was confirmed as not only staying at the Causeway for next season, but that we are sponsoring him, by the club last week and will be part of history for us at Severn Sport.

This season we will be sponsoring more than one player this season and we can reveal the player(s) in question once it has been confirmed by their relevant club(s).

Following the news that Severn Sport are sponsoring Turl for the season, Head of Programming Ryan Butler admits he is delighted to be able to give back to a local club.

Individually I am delighted to be able to give something back to another local club for the next season – whenever that may be, but also collectively it is rewarding for Kelsey and I to be able to show our support for local clubs and players alike.

Every season we have a chat once club’s release their player sponsorship packages and immediately Cinderford’s caught our eye. Over the last two or three seasons we have tried to support a different club each season so we are excited to show our support to the Foresters.

Sam has been a player who has always given us time and the light of day, in particular the last couple of seasons from Slimbridge and now at Cinderford. He is a cracking player, versatile and embodies everything we love about Gloucestershire Football.

We encourage local business to get behind clubs and their players where possible and help promote the hard work everyone puts in to keeping clubs running.

Cinderford have confirmed a full list of returning players, which includes: Andy Hannah, Sam Turl, Sammie Hicks, Liam Angel, Matt Bower, Ben Watkins, Andy Lewis, Lorcan Sheehan, Nick Rhodes, Kieran Alder, Craig Norman, Blaine Waugh, Lewis Bamford, Josh Hunt
