Andoversford have been promoted into Division One of the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League after a successful appeal to the GFA, Severn Sport understands.
The Cheltenham-based club, who were top of the Division Two table when the 2019/20 was suspended in March, were due to be part of a three way vote at the league’s SGM to see if they would be promoted.
Lydney Town Reserves and Kings Stanley were the other two sides up for the vote after finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively, but after an appeal to the GFA the league leaders have been awarded the promotion.
The vacancy in Division One came when Tuffley Rovers confirmed that their Development side would be moving into the Hellenic League Division Two West. Now Andoversford’s place will be taken by Stroud League champions, Dursley Town.
Severn Sport have approached Andoversford for further comments regarding the promotion as details continue to be confirmed.
