Cinderford rewarded with home tie in FA Trophy 1st Qualifying Round

Cinderford Town have been drawn at home to Street in the FA Trophy 1st Qualifying Round draw made this afternoon.

The Foresters beat Moneyfields 5-0 in their Preliminary Round tie on Saturday and will now host their fellow Southern League side on Saturday 27th October as they look to make the 2nd Qualifying Round for the first time since the 2010/11 season.

Cinderford have already beaten Street in the league this season, with Richard Greaves scoring the winner in a 1-0 win at the Causeway on Saturday 29th September.

Since then Cinderford have won 4-2 at Bristol Manor Farm in the CSS League Cup before going down 3-2 away at Melksham Town.

Before the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy, Cinderford welcome Bristol Manor Farm to the Causeway before a midweek trip away to Larkhall Athletic.

Street, who currently sit 4th in the Southern League Division One South, travel to Thatcham Town on Saturday. Thatcham, who beat Gloucestershire’s Cirencester Town in the FA Trophy on Saturday have been drawn against Melksham Town in the 1st Qualifying Round. Melksham made the draw after a late winner in a 3-2 win at Slimbridge on Saturday.
