This weekend marks the eight annual Non-League Day. The event was put together in 2010 to promote and encourage fans, predominantly of Premier League & Championship clubs, to attend their local clubs for a game during the international break.
Ahead of Non-League Day 2018, campaign manager Mike Bayly joined us on the Severn Sport Night In on Friday night to discuss his involvement with the cause and why we should all get behind our local sides and clubs.
Bayly, who is now based in Sheffield told Ryan that his chosen game will be Hallam FC vs Charnock in the FA Vase 1st Round and he also discuss the achievements that the campaign has in its early years.
One thing that Mike talks about is the Game Finder on the Non-League Day website. By entering a postcode you are able to see the list of matches in your local area from steps 1-6, with a few from lower leagues appearing too. You can view the game finder right here.
If you are looking for a game to go to in and around the county then check out the list of fixtures right here.
Listen to Mike’s appearance on the Severn Sport Night In below as he discusses his commitment to the cause, goals for the campaign and more.
