Gloucester City winger Dan King has had his dual registration with Shortwood United cut short and has agreed a deal to join up with Southern League side Slimbridge.
The 18 year old wide man first came onto the Severn Sport radar after outstanding performances for Gloucester City U18s last season, as they won a league and cup double.
King was then included in the first team squad for pre-season by manager Marc Richards before heading to Shortwood United to gain some valuable first team experience.
However with Shortwood playing in the Western League, King is to now make a step up to Southern League football to help aide his development for the remainder of the season.
King is a wide man who can excite on the ball and is no stranger to performing at Slimbridge’s Thornhill Park, with goals and great performances in the Severn Sport Shield in July.
Severn Sport understands that King will be included in Slimbridge’s matchday squad for their away fixture at Barnstaple Town.
