Ex-Eastender & ITV2 reality stars to play in Longlevens charity match

Last week we announced that Severn Sport will be a part of the Longlevens vs E.G. Carter charity match on Saturday 23rd June, this week we can announce the first of the special guests confirmed for the event.

Playing for the E.G. Carter XI will be former EastEnders and Dancing On Ice contestant Matt Lapinskas as well as five of the boys team from ITV2’s 2018 reality show, Survival of the Fittest, including Gloucester’s own Warren Phillips.

Lapinskas is better known for his stint on Albert Square as Anthony Moon over the back end of 2011 before leaving the soap during 2012. Although his character left our screens he wasn’t killed off, meaning it could be a matter of time before Lapinskas reprises his role on the BBC show.

He will be joined by Warren Phillips, Tristan Jones, Dave Lundy, Ryan Cleary and Callum Pardoe who joined forces in the boys vs girls reality show aired on ITV2 at the start of 2018. The show was hosted by Irish presenter Laura Whitmore and it pitted the teams together in a battle of the sexes series that saw the boys take on the girls in an array of physical, mental and team challenges.

The boys were ultimately defeated on the show but they will reunite at Saw Mills to take on a Longlevens XI that includes Severn Sport’s own, Kelsey De Maria.

There has been a change to the original match and that is that the game now kicks off at 12pm, an hour later than originally advertised. We will be there bright and early getting ready for the event and encourage everyone to come down to show support for two great causes.

The match is free entry but Longlevens & E.G. Carter ask that anyone attending make a small donation upon arrival. All donations will go to the two chosen charities, Children With Cancer & The James Hopkins Trust.

Check back here on Severn Sport as we get confirmed names of players who will be there for Longlevens vs E.G. Carter at Saw Mills.
