Tigers striker suffers second season ending injury in two years

Gloucester City striker Ethan Moore has suffered a season-ending torn ACL whilst playing for Hartpury College, a recurrence of the injury that forced him to miss the entire 2016/17 campaign.

Moore, 25, announced in a post on Instagram that he had suffered the injury, which will see him sidelined for an extended period of time for the second time in as many years.

In the post, Moore said “Gutted that my season has ended with a torn ACL… Let your comeback be stronger than your setback.”

In 2016, Moore suffered a torn ACL in the final training session before the start of the season, an injury that saw him miss the whole campaign.

Since his comeback at the start of this season, Moore hasn’t had the impact he would’ve liked, only finding the back of the net twice.

Moore’s last contribution for the club this season was to score the winning goal in a 1-0 home win over Chippenham Town last Monday.

Everyone at Severn Sport wishes Ethan the very best in his recovery.
