Recently departed ex-Gloucester City forward Karnell Chambers has signed for National League South rivals Chippenham Town.
Five days after Chambers left the Tigers it has been confirmed that he has found his new club, with The Bluebirds the beneficiaries of the transfer.
Chambers, who appeared in February’s Severn Sport Team Of The Month after a number of impressive appearances for City, has gone straight into the matchday squad for tonight’s National League South fixture as his new team Chippenham travel to the Jubilee Stadium to take on his former side. Chambers has been named on the bench.
JA Sports Management, Chambers’ representatives have given Severn Sport an exclusive statement:
“Karnell has had a good consistent year of playing games at this level so far and by joining Chippenham it ensures that he will continue to do so up until the summer. There were a number of clubs interested but both Karnell and ourselves thought that Chippenham were the best option for him at this time, after assessing all offers in front of us.”
“It is no secret that Karnell is looking to get back into full time football and by signing for Chippenham it is a great platform for him to showcase himself in the build up to the summer. All of us here at JA Sports Management have every faith in his ability and believe it is a matter of when and not if for him. We would also like to give our thank to Chippenham Town who were great in the getting the deal done in time for him to be available for tonight’s game.”
JA Sports Management have also recently added another Tiger to their books with the signing of City full back Lewis Hall. He joins Keiran Thomas in the list of clients the athlete representation agency. Visit their Twitter & Facebook pages for more information.
