Marc Richards saw his first win as Gloucester City manager come over Oxford City as the Tigers ran out 3-0 winners at Marsh Lane.
Chris Knowles opened the scoring for City inside 10 minutes as he headed home from a dipping Ed Williams cross.
Karnell Chambers would add to the scoring just before half time as he intercepted a back pass before deftly lobbing over Jack Stevens to double the Tigers advantage and add his sixth goal of the season.
With Oxford putting pressure on, they were trying to build from the back, however they played themselves into trouble as Ethan Moore intercepted a misplaced back pass to slot home and score his first goal of the season.
Trialling a new formation which saw five defenders on the pitch with Lewis Hall and Keiran Thomas acting as wing backs, Richards said that it was something he had worked on in training for almost a year.
Speaking exclusively to Severn Sport after the game, Richards spoke of his pleasure at gaining his first three points as manager.
