We are now passed the half way point and the finish is in sight! With just two days left of the Royal Meeting at Ascot it is hotting up, as is the Severn Sport Tipster League. There was some unbelievable action and some incredible scores flying around in the league. Let’s take a look.
Unfortunately for two our competitors it was an abysmal day with both Square Leg and Bacon failing to pick up a point across all three races. Any way let’s crack on.
2:30pm – The Norfolk Stakes
1) Sioux Nation 14/1
2) Santry 13/2 JF
3) Cardsharp 8/1
Well, what a race. A big priced winner successfully picked by a couple of our competitors with On Blast taking home 5 points (3 for the win, 2 for the price). The big winners were The Gee Gee Girls however as they successfully picked the straight forecast so scored 7 points in total (3 for the win, 1 for the place, 2 for the price and 1 additional bonus point). The only other competitors to pick up any sorts of points were The Fox and Sweet Prince for successfully tipping Cardsharp to place.
3:40pm – The Ribblesdale Stakes
1) Coronet 9/1
2) Mori 2/1 F
3) Hertford Dancer 16/1
Horrible race for everyone involved in the tipster league. In fact the only two to pick up any points were The Gee Gee Girls and Mr & Mrs Severn Sport who had the foresight to pick the favourite as their placer. A race not to write home about for the tipster league.
4:20pm – The Gold Cup
1) Big Orange 5/1
2) Order of St George 5/6 F
3) Harbour Law 33/1
That is more like it. Reversed forecasts everywhere. There were 4 points for all of The Bear, On the Outside and once again The Gee Gee Girls. There were place points for The Press Officer and On Blast who picked the favourite Order of St George to place as well as The Fox who picked Harbour Law to place. An impressive 33/1! So all three of them picked up 1 point each.
So another low scoring affair for some of our competitors lets take a look at the table after day three.
As you can see On The Outside are still reigning supreme but are being chased rapidly by new contenders The Gee Gee Girls who have risen from 7th to 2nd. The Bear has got back on track to move up to 3rd where as Mr & Mrs Severn Sport, Sweet Prince and Bacon have fallen away slightly. Another big mover was On Blast who has gone from 10th to 6th.
With two days left, it is clear that it is still all to play for. Tomorrow is Day 4 and it will be pivotal for our tipsters to start gaining momentum as the finish line sneaks into view. Tomorrow’s races are as follows:
3:05pm – King Edward VII Stakes
3:40pm – Commonwealth Cup
5:00pm – Queen Vase
See you all tomorrow for Day 4 of the Severn Sport Tipster League to see if The Gee Gee Girls can catch On The Outside or can another one of our competitors stake a claim for the crown!!
