REPORT – Longlevens 0-1 Kidlington

Longlevens welcomed title chasing Kidlington to Saw Mills this evening and after the visitors exited the FA Vase 1/4 final the previous weekend they were determined to get their title push back on track.

The first half was an even fair with the visitors controlling a large amount of the game but were thwarted by some last ditch defending and two fine saves from levens keeper Oli Hall.

The second half levens turned the kidlington back four abit more however were still pressed by the large amount of possession from the visitors. 

With 20 minutes to go and with the game heading for a stalemate a long ball turned the levens back four and stand in centre half Luke Kavanagh was adjudged to bring down striker Ryan Brookes as he prepared to shoot on goal. The resulting penaulty was converted and kidlington held on for the three points.

Much improved performance from Longlevens but were punished with fine margins by a Top side.
