Clark equaliser sees Ruardean Hill hold Hardwicke in Gloucestershire County League

Ruardean Hill Rangers and Hardwicke played out a competitive and tough 1-1 draw in the Gloucestershire County League, with both goals coming in the first 45 minutes.

After a washout in the league last weekend, both sides came into the game looking for important points as the quest for a strong finish to the season continues.

Hardwicke landed the first blow of the contest when a corner wasn’t dealt with by the hosts and Glenn Gittins tapped home to give the visitors the perfect start.

Ruardean weren’t behind for long though and levelled the game through Clark, who curled into the net after being slipped in.

Both sides had chances just before the break, with Ruardean Hill keeper Aaron Underwood forced into a decent save after a one two on the edge of the box, then down the other end hit the post right on half time.
