Ahead of the new season, here at Severn Sport we have several exciting opportunities available that would be ideal for students and graduates to boost and add to their portfolios of sports reporting.
As we continue to extend our coverage of all sports (including football, rugby, cricket and more), we are looking for reporters to join our team.
Head of Programming, Ryan Butler said:
As Severn Sport continues to grow as the go-to website for sports news in Gloucestershire, now is the time for us to expand our team to enable us to continue providing the best possible coverage to the area.
It’s been a target for a while for Kelsey and I to be able to cover as many different games or events as possible over any given week.
Both of us have been through the learning process and we want to provide students and graduates alike a platform to gain experience in the field, whilst continuing to develop the brand that is Severn Sport.
Online Editor, Kelsey De Maria added:
We’ve grown massively as a brand over the last 18 months, but we’re now at the stage where we need to take the next step on our natural progression and we see that as increasing our numbers.
During that time period we have extended our coverage beyond just football into other sports, and moving forward we wish to continue to increase the frequency of other sports that we cover.
I don’t think there is any question of our dedication to sport in the county. Between us we covered 125 games last season and The Severn Sport Shield has helped Tuffley Rovers and Slimbridge financially, whilst all the while forming links with local businesses and charities through our coverage.
