Loveridge looking to maintain momentum after being named Frampton boss

Josh Loveridge has been appointed Frampton United manager for the 2019/20 County League season.

Loveridge, who joins after a spell as Brimscombe & Thrupp Development manager, replaces the departing Mat Blythe ahead of pre-season training starting at the end of the month.

“I absolutely loved managing the development team at Brimscombe & Thrupp but the opportunity to manage a club like Frampton in the County League was just too good to turn down.” Loveridge told Severn Sport.

“I live 5 minutes away from Frampton so it’s perfect for me. Buster Davies who was one of my assistant managers at Brimscombe development will be coming with me and we are both really excited to get started.”

Frampton missed out on winning the County League last season by just two points and Loveridge believes there is no reason why his new side can’t go one better next season.

“Frampton have been one of the top teams in the county league for several years now and finishing 2nd and winning the cup last season is a brilliant achievement.

The team has massive potential and I just want to continue the good work that has already been put in place over the last few years.

We will add some players where needed and we have already spoken to some of them about coming in for pre season and then obviously we can make our decisions but ultimately it’ll be about adding to the squad and not so much rebuilding.

In terms of our aims, we just want to give everything we’ve got and try to win each game as it comes. We’ll do that and see where it takes us.” Loveridge added.

Frampton United begin their pre-season training at Frampton Youth Pitches on Tuesday 25th June 18:30-20:00 and will be every Tuesday and Thursday there after. Loveridge encourages all players, old and new, to attend.
