LISTEN LIVE: Brimscombe & Thrupp vs Abingdon United

It is a momentous day for us here at Severn Sport on Easter Sunday – specifically for Ryan Butler who will chalk up his 100th game of the season later on as he and Kelsey De Maria head to The Meadow for live commentary of Brimscombe & Thrupp vs Abingdon United.

We’ve seen two games already on this Bank Holiday weekend, both of which finished 2-1 to the home side. On Friday, Ryan saw Longlevens secure their Hellenic League status with victory over Reading City; he was joined by Kelsey on the road with Tuffley Rovers who were defeated by Flackwell Heath.

Now our attentions turn to the top of the table and, after Bishop’s Cleeve could only draw with Ardley United yesterday, Brimscombe & Thrupp are now the only Gloucestershire side remaining with a shot at the title.

Sam Prior’s side have been the pace setters for most of the Hellenic Premier campaign and a win today will see them back at the top of the table and awaiting the result of Windsor vs Wantage Town on Monday.

With a bumper crowd expected as part of the Hellenic League groundhop weekend, we will be bringing you full coverage of today’s game, kick-off 18:30.

It will be the second game for us in a day as we will also be at Moreton Rangers vs Adderbury Park, updates for that game are on our Twitter (@SevernSport). Look out for the next episode of #ButlersDayOut.
