Gloucester City fans call for Chris Todd to go following Weston nightmare

The search for a first league win for Gloucester City under Chris Todd goes on, as the Tigers fell to defeat to Weston Super-Mare, stretching their winless league run to four months.

Odin Bailey had put the home side ahead minutes into the second half, before three goals without reply from Marlon Jackson, Jamie Lucas and Eli Phipps saw the Tigers drop into the relegation zone of the National League South.

The defeat marks four months to the day since City’s last win in the league, a 2-1 away win at Hungerford in September under previous manager Marc Richards who left to join Hereford FC weeks later.

It would have been an apt time for Todd to get his first win as manager, as his predecessor Richards had done so on New Year’s Day 2018 in a 3-0 defeat of Oxford City, live on Severn Sport.

Tigers fans have rallied on social media this evening following the defeat, with several supporters calling for time on Chris Todd’s brief spell at the helm of their club after no league win in 13 attempts.
